Unit 59 Rescue Boat is out of commission while a badly needed re-fit is going on.

Our intreped crew of volunteers set out Saturday 26 May to install the new “Kids Don’t Float” kiosk at Ford’s Cove Hornby Island. Well done Team! If you have a chance, check out all the new work done to the dock, warf and infrastructure at Ford’s Cove!

July 29, 2017     SAR Unit 59 Tasked at 13:45 Hobie Cat develops Hull / Rigging failure, possibly from overload. 3 adult males were in the water off Ships Point Park in Baynes Sound. All retrieved from water, one with mild hypothermia, all were taken to the shore at Ships Point Park.
